Every household in Broxtowe Borough will be receiving a summary document of the Greater Nottingham Aligned Core Strategy and a consultation response form. Please read this important document and take part in the consultation which will help shape the future of the Borough. As well as the summary document, the proposals are to be discussed at the regular public Town and Parish Council meetings, and at a series of extra public meetings.

The kilomathon road race from Nottingham to Derby on Sunday 14th March 2010 will involve some road disruptions in Broxtowe and the surrounding areas. Competitors will assemble at Nottingham University and run along a route through Beeston and Chilwell.

Over the next few months Broxtowe Borough residents will have no excuses when it comes to finding a way to get fit and healthy. A full events calendar has been planned from April starting with the Broxtowe 5K and a children's 1K fun run.

Broxtowe Borough Council is pleased to announce that the Beauvale Priory Community Play is once again well underway and we are looking for keen participants to get involved in this unique production, based on the history of Beauvale Priory and the monks who lived there.

Broxtowe Borough Council is proposing to change the way it allocates council housing. A group comprising three Councils and registered social landlords (often known as housing associations) has been formed to develop a Choice Based Lettings (CBL) scheme.

Tickets are now on sale for the Broxtowe Borough Charity Heroes Ball to be held on Saturday 27 March at 7.00pm at the East Midlands Conference Centre. The Ball follows an event on the 20th March when the 170 (Infrastructure Support) Engineer Group will be marching through Beeston.
