New Children's Disability Football Sessions

21/06/2012 - Football sessions for children with disabilities and inclusion needs can be enjoyed as part of a new programme delivered by Trowell Football Club, every Wednesday between 6.00pm and 7.00pm at Bramcote Leisure Centre, Derby Road, Bramcote.

The sessions, in partnership with Broxtowe Borough Council and The Nottinghamshire Football Association, are for children aged five to fourteen years of age and will encourage children to become more confident by developing their football and social skills alongside other local children.

The football club have a strong commitment towards encouraging local children with individual needs to get involved in football and have recently received £1,000 funding from the Department for Education through Nottinghamshire County Council to support their new programme.

Each session will take place on a five-a-side pitch with a 3G surface and costs £3.00 per child. Registration forms will be completed at your child's first session. Siblings wishing to come along to the sessions are also welcome to get involved.

Broxtowe Borough Council's sports development team, Broxtowe Sport, work with a variety of different partners including residents, sports people, coaches, volunteers and clubs to improve the quality and range of sports provision in Broxtowe Borough.

To secure your child's place in advance, please contact Anthony Beaumont, Chairman of Trowell FC on 07747 190 341.
