Guaranteed Interviews For 12 Local Jobseekers
27/06/2012 - A recruitment event offering a guaranteed job interview and an industry-recognised rail qualification to 12 local jobseekers will be held in Beeston next week, as part of Nottingham's multi-million pound transport projects.
Nottingham City Council, Broxtowe Borough Council and Job Centre Plus will host the event at the Town Hall, in Foster Avenue, Beeston, on Thursday 5th July (9.30am to 12.00pm and 1.30pm to 4.00pm) for referred applicants to find out more about the two-week Personal Track Safety (PTS) and Track Induction (TIC) training opportunity.
Jobseekers referred by Job Centre Plus and living within Broxtowe Borough or Nottingham City will have the chance to apply for one of 12 training places, with the course running between Monday 6th and Friday 17th August.
Training will be provided by Beeston-based Bridgeway Consulting, who will offer a guaranteed job interview to each candidate at the end of the course. Successful candidates will also receive a PTS competence card and TIC skills card on completing the two-week course.
Candidates have not yet been selected and referrals are now being made through Job Centre Plus Beeston and Nottingham. Applicants interested in attending the recruitment event must be referred by Job Centre Plus, be aged 16 years or above, live within Nottingham City or Broxtowe Borough and receive Job Seekers Allowance or Employment Support Allowance (WRAG).
The nationally-recognised Personal Track Safety (PTS) and Track Induction (TIC) qualification will enable successful candidates to work on rail and tram track projects across the country.
