Waste and Recycling

The Waste and Recycling Section provides a high quality service to residents throughout the borough, working towards achieving a cleaner, greener and safer environment.

Please present your bins for collection by 7:00am.

When is my collection

By selecting the 'When is my collection' image above, you will be able to find waste and recycling collection information for your property.

2015 Calendars are now available online. Please use the 'When is my bin collection?' service page, which will identify which calendar you need to download.

Do you recycle a lot of glass?

Did you know you that instead of bags, you can now have a free red-lidded 140l bin in which to recycle your glass? To arrange delivery please e-mail your request to: recycling@broxtowe.gov.uk and attach your address details.

Why not use our text messaging service

You can now text 60075 to check which collection is due that week. Start the message with 'BROX NEXT' including your postcode and house number - i.e. 'BROX NEXT NG9 1AB 32', you will be sent a message back with details of your next scheduled collection.

'Each message sent is charged at the user's standard network rate although some inclusive network plans exclude messages to short codes and therefore prices may vary.'

 Beverage Carton Recycling facilities can be found at the following locations:

  • Chilwell Olympia, Queens Road West, Chilwell NG9 1GS
  • Old Moor Lodge, Mornington Crescent, Nuthall NG16 1DP
  • Greasley Sports and Community Centre, Dovecote Road, Newthorpe NG16 3QN  
  • Brinsley Parish Hall, Brinsley NG16 5BY

Assisted Collections

If you are elderly, infirm or registered disabled we are able to collect your bins/bags from a specified location. Please contact customer services for further information.
