Highways Services

Most roads in Broxtowe are the responsibility of Nottinghamshire County Council as Highway Authority and most highways services are provided directly by the County Council.

Please note: The agency arrangement that Broxtowe Borough Council previously had with Nottinghamshire County Council for highway maintenance ended on March 31st 2012.

The A52 and M1 Motorway are national trunk roads and are managed by A1+ on behalf of the Highways Agency.

There are also private roads within Broxtowe, over which the County and Borough Councils have very limited jurisdiction.
