Houses in the Borough

The Housing Division aims to ensure that a good quality home is available to all through the Council's strategic role in housing and in the management of the Council's own stock.

The strategic role involves regular review of house conditions across all tenures, identification of social housing needs and enabling people with special needs to live independently.

Management of the Council's housing stock involves

  • allocation of tenancies
  • carrying out repairs and maintenance
  • addressing antisocial behaviour
  • administering the right to buy and collecting rent payment
  • Properties for Rent in Retirement Living Schemes
  • Housing Advice Information

If you wish to seek housing advice on applications or have a general housing enquiry then please come and join us at one of our regular surgeries:

Homesearch Allocations Policy Consultation

From April 2013, it is proposed that Broxtowe, Gedling and Rushcliffe borough councils will each have a separate allocations policy to cover the social housing properties in their own area. There will still be one Homesearch website.

The revised Allocations Policy for Broxtowe is now available on the Homesearch. To view the Allocations Policy, please click on the Homesearch link.

We would welcome your comments and would ask that you forward any comments to rebekka.clarke@broxtowe.gov.uk by Monday 17th December 2012.
