Housing
Information relating to housing issues, advice and support.
The Housing Division aims to ensure that a good quality home is available to all through the Council's strategic role in housing and in the management of the Council's own stock.
The strategic role involves regular review of house conditions across all tenures, identification of social housing needs and enabling people with special needs to live independently.
Management of the Council's housing stock involves
- allocation of tenancies
- carrying out repairs and maintenance
- addressing antisocial behaviour
- administering the right to buy and collecting rent payment
- Properties for Rent in Sheltered Housing Schemes
