Out of Hours Emergencies

Sometimes you may want to contact us when our main offices are shut or in a crisis you might need signposting to other public service providers or utility companies. This page is here to help you with this kind of emergency contact requirements.

Before you contact us, make sure that:

  • Your problem cannot be dealt with during normal office hours
  • You cannot make arrangements in the meantime
  • When telephoning, please remember that your call may prevent another call getting through

We also offer a number of online services. Visit  for a full list of services you can complete online including;

Social Media

Our social media accounts are monitored during office hours, Monday to Friday so please don't use social media to contact us in an emergency.

In situations affecting the area, such as severe weather, the Council will post updates on its social media accounts. Find out more about how to follow us on social media by visiting the social media page.
