Trails in Broxtowe

Two fantastic trails in Broxtowe you can cycle cover approximately  the whole of the boroughs boundary about 40 miles. They take your along canal paths, locks, woodlands, nature sites, sites of interest, the River Trent, places for refreshments  and more.  They are the Erewash Valley Trail and Broxtowe Country Trail.

9am - 10am - Learn to Ride Session (beginners) - on park.

10am - 11am - Cycling Skills Session (improvers) - on quiet roads.

11am - 12noon - Guided Cycle Ride - on roads.

Free fun cycle training for beginners and improvers! All sessions are led by qualified leaders and packed with expert advice!

Participants will need their own roadworthy bike and a helmet.

Children must be aged 5 years and above to attend the Learn to Ride Session. All children must be accompanied by an adult. Over 16's only at the other sessions.

11am - 1pm - Guided Cycle Ride - on roads. PLEASE NOTE - This ride only takes place on the 1st Saturday of the month and replaces the Cycling Skills Session.

Explore Nottingham offer free guided rides across Nottinghamshire every week! The rides are fun, free and a great way to get out and about and explore the local area. The rides are all at a comfortable pace to ensure that no-one gets left behind. Each ride varies in length and time to cater for a variety of abilities. Rides range from less than 5 miles to 35 miles plus!

Participants will need their own roadworthy bike and a helmet.

Under 16's are welcome on some rides, but must be accompanied by an adult at all times.

Go Sky Ride Cycle Rides - Social Cycle Rides across the Country

Go Sky Ride offer friendly guided rides led by qualified British Cycling Leaders. Rides are free of charge and grouped to suit beginner and experienced cyclists. With different intensities and different routes, there's something for everyone through Go Sky Ride. Whether you're building your confidence or already comfortable on a bike, there will be a Go Sky Ride for you!

Breeze Ladies Only Cycle Rides - Social Ladies Only Cycle Rides across the Country

Local Breeze Champions organise free local rides for ladies only every month! Rides are fun, social and go at a speed that suits everyone in the group! Distances vary each ride and always stop or start at a café for a drink and chat!

Participants will need their own roadworthy bike and a helmet.

Rides are suitable for women aged 18 years plus.

Cycle Maintenance Courses

Not sure where to start with cycle maintenance? Ridewise run cycle maintenance courses for absolute beginners! Workshops vary in time and length and include the basics such as fixing a puncture, changing a tyre or adjusting the brakes. Fancy leading a cycle ride? Ridewise are looking for new volunteers to lead cycle rides.
