Broxtowe Sport
Broxtowe Sport works with a variety of different partners to improve the quality, quantity and range of sports provision in the Borough of Broxtowe.
The key areas in which work is focused includes:
- Developing volunteers and coaches.
- Organising sports events and school based coaching.
- Providing and supporting community based sports opportunities (including sports clubs).
- Organising an annual coach development programme.
- Providing opportunities for people who may be excluded from sport.
- Supporting partners in applying for different sources of funding.

Coming Soon! Women's Football in Chilwell!
September 2010 will see the start of a new women's only football session at Chilwell Olympia Sports Centre. The session aimed at ladies who have and haven't played football before, will run from 7 - 8pm outside on the astroturf. Sessions will involve a variety of practices and matches, and will be an ideal opportunity to try something new! The first session starts on Thursday 9th September 2010.
Change 4 Life Event
On Thursday 16th September 2010 a free Change 4 Life Event will be held at Bramcote Hills College. The event will give people of all ages and abilities the opportunity to find out about health, sport and physical activity! There will be information to collect, sports demonstrations to watch as well as have a go activity sessions for all the family! The event runs from 4.30pm - 6.30pm.
New Events - Coming Soon!
2011 will see a number of new Sports Events added to the Broxtowe Sport Calendar. There will be an Adult Tag Rugby Tournament, a Cycle Event and a Sprint Distance Triathlon. Details regarding all the 2011 events will be added soon.
