Eastwood Christmas Lights Switch On

The Eastwood Christmas Lights Switch on is organised by Broxtowe Borough Council in conjunction with the 'Eastwood Switch On' Steering Group.

This year's Eastwood 'Switch On' event, which will be taking place from 6.00 pm until 8.00 pm on Tuesday, 24^th November will be offering a menu of magic, mania and merriment, with new attraction 'Iceman' and his magical crystal ball manipulation, Beatle mania with the internationally renown 'Fab Four' and merriment with our traditional Santa and Fairy Grotto's, fair ground rides, Christmas Carols, Lantern gathering and more.

The programme will begin outside the Library in Eastwood Square at 6.15 pm with a rousing performance by the Musketeers Show Band, who will perform a mix of popular and Christmas tunes, as the schools and families gather for our 10^th annual Lantern Gathering. At 6.40 pm the lantern carriers will lead along Nottingham Road to the Hollies to join the crowds for the 'Switch On' ceremony.

At 7.00 pm Beatle mania will descend on Eastwood as 'The Fab Four' take to the main stage in the Hollies for an hour long set featuring all your favourite tunes. The Fab Four are one of the premier Beatles tribute bands with an enviable talent for recreating that classic Beatle sound.

'Mother Christmas and her sack full of festive stories' (ideal for preschool and young primary children and their families) at 'The Library Acoustic Bar' at 6.20, 7.20 and 8.15 pm.

The Wood Gallery and view work by local artists and shop for truly original Christmas gifts for your loved ones.
