Run, Bike, Run! Challenge yourself this autumn! An event for adults and juniors at Colliers Wood.

Facebook - Broxtowe Sport This link opens in a new browser window A popular event for both adults and juniors. The event is a fantastic opportunity to try something new whilst enjoying the local scenery in and around Moorgreen. The event involves a bike ride and a run.

The adult event starts with a run around Colliers Wood, followed by a bike ride on the surrounding roads in Moorgreen, Underwood and Watnall. The event finishes with a second run around Colliers Wood. The junior event follows a similar format but takes place within the grounds of the park. The distances are suitable for people who have never tried an event before, as well as for those who are looking for an additional challenge to take part in. The event will be chip timed.

Adult races start from 9am.

Junior races start from 11.30am.

Adult Cost

RequirementsAged 15 years or above on the day of the event.
Junior Cost

Cost to be confirmed.

RequirementsAged 9 - 14 years on the day of the event.

What does the Event Involve? Xcite Images Logo

The Duathlon involves 3 disciplines. Each person must complete each discipline. There is no rest period in between each stage.

The disciplines for the Beginners Event are:

  • 2K Run
  • 7K Bike Ride
  • 1K Run

The disciplines for the Challenge Event are:

  • 4K Run
  • 14K Bike Ride
  • 2K Run

The disciplines for the Junior Taster Event are:

  • 800 metre Run
  • 1K Bike Ride
  • 600 metre Run

What will you need?

For the event you will need trainers/running shoes, a roadworthy bike and a helmet. You will also need comfortable clothing for taking part in.

How to Enter?

Entry will open in January 2016.

Event Photographs: Xcite Images will be taking photographs on the day of the event. Images can be viewed and purchased after the event online here.

Event Results: STU WEB will be providing results on the day of the event. All competitors will have the opportunity to check their times instantly on the screen in the van at the finish. Times can be viewed after the event online here.
