A popular event for both adults and juniors. The event is a fantastic opportunity Tri athlete to try something new whilst enjoying the local scenery in and around Moorgreen. The event involves a bike ride and a run.

The adult event starts with a run around Colliers Wood, followed by a bike ride on the surrounding roads in Moorgreen, Underwood and Watnall. The event finishes with a second run around Colliers Wood. The junior event follows a similar format but takes place within the grounds of the park. The scooter ride and the run will both take place inside the park and will not enter the public highway.

The distances are suitable for people who have never tried an event before, as well as for those who are looking for an additional challenge to take part in. The event will be chip timed.

What does the Event Involve?Decathlon Logo

The Duathlon and Scootathon involves 3 disciplines. Each person must complete each discipline. There is no rest period in between each stage.

The disciplines for the Beginners Event are:

  • 2K Run
  • 7K Bike Ride 
  • 1K Run

The disciplines for the Challenge Event are:

  • 4K Run
  • 14K Bike Ride 
  • 2K Run

The disciplines for the Junior Taster Event are:

  • 800 metre Run
  • 1.3K Scooter Ride 
  • 600 metre Run

What will you need?

For the event you will need trainers/running shoes, a roadworthy bike and a helmet. You will also need comfortable clothing for taking part in.

Juniors will need a scooter instead of a bike. The scooter must have brakes.

How to Enter?

Online entry will open for this event in January 2015.
