A series of information leaflets for each of Broxtowe Borough Council's then fourteen Conservation Areas were produced in 1994 as part of a reappraisal programme, these are now archived as a new set of leaflets are now being produced.
The purpose of the series of guidance leaflets was to increase awareness about the value of the conservation areas, and about the additional planning controls operating within them. The leaflets were delivered to occupiers within the conservation areas, and to local organisations.
The leaflets explained the significance of the conservation area status and contained informative advice of a general nature which was repeated throughout the series. Historical information, descriptions and illustrations are specific for each area.
