Car Parks

Broxtowe Borough Council are responsible for a number of surface car parks in Beeston, Eastwood, Kimberley and Stapleford, along with a multi-storey car park in Beeston.

Surface Car Parks

  • All car parks will be patrolled on a regular basis by Civil Enforcement Officers Monday - Saturday excluding Public Holidays. All car parks are clearly signed and identified as short or long stay car parks.
  • The Council has a policy of providing quality car parking for users of the Borough's town centres. Three hour limited shoppers' car parks are provided within or close to the shopping centres to encourage customers to use the centres. Long stay car parks are sited a little further away for those using the town centres for long periods.

  • Car parks are covered by the Broxtowe Borough Council Civil Enforcement Off Street Parking Places Order, which regulates their use.

Albert Street Car Park, Eastwood Shoppers' Car Parks (Parking Charges Apply)

Parking will be monitored by Civil Enforcement Officers, where motorists infringe the Off Street Parking Legislation and Policy or are found parked in contraventions of the Broxtowe Borough Council (Civil Enforcement Off Street Parking Places Order) a penalty charge appropriate to the level of contravention may apply.  Penalty charges are based on a higher or lower level of contravention, £70.00 for the high level and £50.00 for the lower level of contravention.

Long Stay Car Parks

Whilst there is no time limit on the length of stay on these car parks, vehicles must display a current road fund licence and pay the appropriate charge where applicable. The attendant will issue penalty charge notices when car parking regulations are infringed.

What You Can Expect From Us When Using Surface Car Parks

  • Officers in uniform who are courteous and polite, efficient in their duties and responsive to motorists' needs.
  • Car parks that are patrolled on a regular basis to ensure the car parking order is enforced and the car parks are kept clean and tidy.
  • Spaces will be provided for those people with disabilities in accordance with national guidelines.
  • Clear notices will be displayed so that those parking in the car park are aware of the restrictions imposed on their stay.
