Tim Brindley

Cllr Brindley

Councillor Tim Brindley was born and bred in a mining town in West Yorkshire where he attended the local grammar school. After finishing his education, Tim moved to Darlington to start his career.

Tim's Great Uncle was Mayor of his home town three times and this inspired him to get into politics and he has been actively involved with the Conservative Party since the mid-1980s.

Whilst in Darlington, Tim met Sheila and they will celebrate their Ruby Wedding Anniversary during this Council's term. Tim and Sheila moved to Nottingham in 1993. They have two daughters, one granddaughter and two grandsons who live in Devon.

Tim represents Chilwell West Ward and is also a member of Chilwell West CAT, as well as serving as Vice Chair on Overview and Scrutiny and Strategic Planning and Economic Growth Committee. He also serves on General Purposes and Audit Committee.

As well as serving as Vice Chair of Governors at a local school, Tim enjoys growing fruit and veg on his allotment, puzzles and quizzes and is actively involved in the local church.
