Freedom of Entry Parade 2019

Saturday 29th June, 11.00am, Beeston Town Centre

army paradeBeeston will celebrate Armed Forces Day with a special military parade as soldiers and veterans from 170 (Infrastructure Support) Engineer Group march through the town centre.

Soldiers from the Group, based at Chetwynd Barracks in Chilwell, will march through the town to exercise their Freedom of Entry to the Borough, along with veterans from the Royal Engineers Association.

Residents are urged to take to the streets along the High Road to give a rousing welcome to its Army heroes during the parade.

As the route will be closed for the Parade there will be some traffic disruption.


Painting the town red, white and blue!

Residents, shops and businesses are urged to decorate the town to give the soldiers the welcome they deserve. If you are a local business who is interested in sponsoring decorations for the event, please contact the Civic Office on 0115 917 3210 or email civic@broxtowe.gov.uk
