Kimberley Job Fair Success

One hundred job seekers in and around Kimberley met with local businesses and apprenticeship providers at a special job fair organised by Broxtowe Borough Council earlier this week.

A host of local businesses attended the event to meet with prospective candidates including:

  • Caunton Engineering Ltd

  • New College Nottingham

  • Home Instead Senior Care

  • AVON Cosmetics

  • SOLOS Consultants Ltd

  • Skills Holidays

  • WEA

  • Forever Living

  • Royal Air Force Nottingham

  • Direct Health UK Ltd

  • Job Centre

Nikki Cleaver from WEA said: “The WEA found attending the Kimberley Job Fair to be really beneficial. We spoke to 37 people in just under 3 hours. This was a fantastic opportunity to tell  people about our free local course which helps long term unemployed people brush up their employability skills through film making. Attending the fair was certainly beneficial to us.”

Natalie Tideswell, from Direct Health UK Ltd said: “We found it really useful and met with many potential applicants.”

Local Job Centres and Kimberley Town Council also supported the event.
