Children & Young Peoples Task Group

Children & Young Peoples Task Group

The Broxtowe Borough Partnership would like to see local children and young people be aspirational, achieve their potential and be respected for participating in their community.

The Children and Young People's Task Group brings together statutory and community organisations that work with or provide services for children, young people and families.

Current priorities for the group are:-

  • Provide children, young people and families with the early help that they need (eg universal services including play sessions, health support, diet and nutrition, domestic abuse, housing and debt issues)

  • Targeted work with young people on health and well-being issues (eg the aim of this work is to improve awareness of a range of health issues pertinent to young people)

  • Workforce development (eg increase the skills and knowledge of the workforce who provide services to children, young people and families).

  • Closing the educational gap (eg improve the skills of young people in order for them to access further education, employment and training)
