POST REF: C12 - HR Manager (Human Resources)
We are seeking an HR Manager to manage the provision of a high quality and professional Human Resources service to enable service delivery in line with the council’s aims and objectives.
You will be responsible for developing strategies, policy and procedures to enable the Council’s employees to be high performing and productive; resolving complex HR matters in the best interests of the Council and individuals concerned and you will deputise for the Chief Executive on matters related to HR issues as requested.
You will have a sound background in managing all aspects of a Human Resources service and you will preferably understand the working practices within local authority environment. You will be a good communicator with evidence of strong negotiating and influencing skills, who can engage with a wide range of stakeholders and have the capacity to identify innovative solutions and the drive and energy to ensure that these are carried through to full implementation. You will be able to demonstrate a strong commitment to equality and diversity issues.
You will be educated to degree level, have a CIPD qualification and ideally have a management qualification.
