Salary : £23,242 - £24,681 pro rata per annum. 18.5 hours per week - Thursday, Friday and alternate Wednesdays

Broxtowe Borough Council owns and manages over 4,000 properties to the west of Nottingham. We are expanding our Income Collection Team following a recent review of rent collection and financial inclusion services across the Borough following the recent roll out of Universal Credit.

We are currently looking for experienced Income or Housing Officers with sound knowledge of social housing to manage the collection of housing rent.

You will have experience of proactively managing arrears cases and be familiar with the issues related to Universal Credit. In this role, you will work in partnership with both internal and external partners to help sustain tenancies. You will also be required to take enforcement action including presenting your own cases at County Court.

The successful candidate will be an excellent communicator who is able to manage a varied caseload and meet targets and deadlines. You will be familiar with following procedures and be able to work as part of a team.  You will manage your own caseload and be responsible for organising your week to include time spent in the office and in the community, including meeting tenants in their own homes.

If you have a passion for tenancy sustainment and want to be part of an exciting new team, this could be the role for you.

Broxtowe Borough Council offers excellent benefits including local government pension scheme and reduced health and fitness membership. The Council also offers a generous holiday entitlement (minimum of 27 days pro rata) and flexible working hours.

If this sounds like an opportunity you’d be interested in, we look forward to hearing from you.
