Salary: Up to £20,393 pro rata per annum. 14.5 hours per week Job Share working Monday and Tuesday

Broxtowe Borough Council owns and manages over 4000 properties to the west of Nottingham. We are looking for an Income Collection Assistant to join our Income Collection Team.

In this role you will support the work of the busy Income Collection Team including Income Collection Officers and Financial Inclusion Officers to provide excellent services to tenants. This is a frontline role with a focus on income collection, providing telephone advice to customers with complex income related enquiries.

You will also work closely with colleagues across the Housing Department to support tenants to ensure we take a collaborative approach to generate positive outcomes for our tenants and our service.

 We’re looking for an individual who has experience of:

  • Providing excellent customer service skills who is organised and has experience of working in a housing, administration or customer service based role.
  • You will possess good administration skills and have experience of working with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Keeping accurate records and the ability to record information accurately both verbally and in writing.
  • Managing a diverse workload with conflicting priorities.

 The ideal candidate will have:

  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Confident and clear communicator who is able to handle challenging conversations.
  • A great track record for providing excellent customer service in a housing environment.
  • The ability to work with minimal supervision and keep to tight deadlines.
  • Someone who represents our GREAT values and behaviours

This is a permanent role and will be predominantly based at our Beeston office.

Successfully shortlisted candidates will be asked to attend a formal interview which may include a test in order to determine suitability for the role.
