Salary: Up to £25,867 per annum - Grade 7. Full time working 37 hrs per week.

We are looking for an Independent Living Team Leader to join our Independent Living Team who work with over 1400 residents across Broxtowe living in our self-contained Independent Living properties.

You will be responsible for managing a team of Independent Living Co-ordinators who manage over 1400 tenancies across several different locations within the Borough.  You will ensure that all key operational targets are met and will support the team to sustain tenancies and maximise the independence of residents though the development of individual needs assessments.

You will work collaboratively with the other Independent Living Team Leader, Independent Living Manager and Income & Housing Manager to forge positive relationships with key internal and external contacts to provide excellent services to residents. 

You will also work closely with colleagues across the Housing Department to support tenants, manage anti-social behaviour and to prevent tenancy failure.

 We’re looking for an individual who has experience of:

  •  Managing a team to ensure they are supported and empowered to achieve success.
  • Undertaking regular quality audits and case reviews to ensure that the service meets our customer needs.
  • Proven housing management skills including proactively monitoring voids and ensuring lettings are completed within target.
  • Sustaining tenancies, promoting independence and developing support networks with internal and external partners.
  • Working with older and more vulnerable people and an understanding of the issues they face.
  • Managing a diverse workload with conflicting priorities.

 The ideal candidate will have:

  •  Excellent time management and leadership skills with previous experience of managing teams and developing and delivering services to meet resident’s needs.
  • Keeping accurate records and the ability to record and report information accurately both verbally and in writing.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a great track record of providing excellent customer service.
  • The ability to work with minimal supervision and keep to tight deadlines.
  • Someone who represents our GREAT values and behaviours

 What you need to know:

  • This is a permanent role and will be based from one of our offices in the Borough along with some opportunity to work from home. Travel throughout Broxtowe Borough is essential, and mileage will be paid.
  • There will be a requirement to work outside of office hours on occasions.
  • Training to help you in the role will be provided
  • You will visit tenants in their homes and at the office.
