Salary: Up to £25,867 per annum 37 hours per week

We are looking for a Money Advisor to join our Financial Inclusion Service within the Income Collection Team. The Income Collection Team are responsible for managing over 4000 tenancies. Working alongside another Money Advisor, you will provide advice and guidance to our tenants to help them maximise their income, avoid financial difficulties and budget effectively.

You will work closely with colleagues across the Housing team to support tenants to pay their rent, minimise arrears and prevent tenancy failure.

Experience of working within an advice giving role is essential, but full training will be provided to increase your knowledge. Most importantly you need to have the drive and enthusiasm to provide an exceptional service to our tenants.

We’re looking for an individual who has proven experience of:

  • Working in an advice giving environment either within social housing or another setting which gives you transferable skills.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to deal with various internal and external agencies.
  • The ability to deal with a complex caseload and tight deadlines.
  • The ability to record and report information accurately both verbally and in writing.

 The ideal candidate will have:

  • The ability to work with minimal supervision and keep to tight deadlines.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Someone who will represent GREAT values and behaviours

What you need to know:

  • This is a permanent role and will be based at our Beeston office along with some home working, although travel throughout Broxtowe Borough will be required. You will visit tenants in their homes and at the office.
  • Working hours are 37 hours per week, with business hours Monday to Friday 8.30am – 5pm
  • There will be a requirement to work outside of office hours on occasions.
  • Training to help you in the role will be provided
  • Travel across the Borough is essential, and mileage will be paid
