Salary: Up to £23,111

We are looking for a Financial Inclusion Officer to join our new Income Collection Team, who are responsible for managing over 4000 tenancies. With knowledge of social housing, you will provide advice and guidance to our tenants to help them maximise their income, avoid financial difficulties and budget effectively.

You will work closely with colleagues across the Housing team to support tenants to pay their rent, minimise arrears and prevent tenancy failure.

We’re looking for an individual who has proven experience of:

  • Working in an advice giving environment.
  • Proven communication skills and the ability to deal with various internal and external agencies.
  • The ability to deal with a complex caseload and tight deadlines.
  • A proven ability to record and report information accurately both verbally and in writing.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Extensive welfare benefits knowledge particularly related to Universal Credit.
  • A great track record for providing excellent customer services.
  • The ability to work with minimal supervision and keep to tight deadlines.
  • Someone who will represent GREAT values and behaviours

What you need to know:

This is a permanent role and will be based from our Beeston office, although travel throughout Broxtowe Borough will be required. You will visit tenants in their homes and at the office.

Successfully shortlisted candidates will be asked to attend a formal interview which will include a test in order to determine suitability for the role.

What you need to know:

  • This is a permanent role based at the Council Offices, Beeston
  • Working hours are 37 hours per week, with business hours Monday to Friday 8.30am – 5pm
  • There will be a requirement to work outside of office hours on occasions.
  • Training to help you in the role will be provided
  • Travel across the Borough is essential, and mileage will be paid
