Salary: £9.36 - £9.56 per hour. 13.25 hours per week. Monday 6pm – 10.30pm, Tuesday 6pm – 9.45pm & Sunday 12pm – 5pm.

About us

Liberty Leisure Limited is a wholly owned Local Authority Trading Company of Broxtowe Borough Council with services including Sports Development (Get Active), community events team, three Leisure Centres and the D.H. Lawrence Birthplace museum.

Kimberley is a large leisure centre with two swimming pools, a sports hall, modern 70 station gym (Technogym), an interactive youth gym, two exercise studios, a cycling studio, training studio and several floodlit 3G football pitches.

About the role

This is an excellent opportunity to begin a career in the leisure industry. You will be responsible for supervising swimmers in the pools, assisting with the day to day running of the centre, ensuring health, safety and well-being of customers and the smooth operation and cleanliness of the facility. Your duties will include lifeguarding and supervising pool activities; erecting and maintaining sports equipment; assisting with general cleaning duties around the centre; preparing the facility for operation. You will be in the front line of customer service, providing advice and information, helping customers participate and generally providing a high level of service.

Who do we want to work with us?

It is essential that you have a genuine desire to work in the leisure industry and have a passion for providing a quality service. Applicants must have a current, valid RLSS National Pool Lifeguard Qualification or its equivalent and preferably hold some sports coaching qualifications, e.g. Community Sports Leaders Award, National Governing Body certificate, etc.
