Post Ref: RELCLN - Relief Mobile Cleaner

Salary: £11.99 per hour Grade 3

We are looking for a Relief Mobile Cleaner to work as needed to support our cleaning teams at the Council Offices in Beeston, Kimberley depot and Bramcote crematorium to ensure that the offices and public areas are kept to a good clean standard.

We expect that there will be shifts available for around 30 weeks a year, minimum.

The role includes general cleaning duties including vacuuming, dusting, polishing, emptying bins etc.

You will be required to adhere to health and safety procedures in relation to cleaning, manual handling and working with cleaning chemicals.  Some heavy lifting may be required.

We’re looking for an individual who has experience in cleaning offices and other work areas.

 The ideal candidate would be:

  • confident and knowledgeable in use of cleaning equipment & materials
  • able to work as part of a small team
  • able to work using own initiative and unsupervised
  • able to provide high standards of cleaning
  • someone who represents our GREAT values and behaviours

 What you need to know:

There are no set hours – work would be ad hoc and at any of the sites to cover holidays and sickness, and you may be needed at short notice.  There is some flexibility in the time you will work, but it is likely that it would be from 3pm onwards at the depot and from 8am at the crematorium.  Hours at the Council Offices are variable but are likely to be for 3½ hours between 8.30am and 5.30pm.
