Post Ref: T109 - Transport and Stores Manager
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and passionate individual to work within the Council’s Environment Department. We are looking for a Transport Manager with a CAN DO attitude as we look to progress with our ambitions to decarbonise our fleet. This will be an exciting challenge and opportunity for an adaptable individual to work alongside our energetic Transport Team.
The Council operates a fleet of around 80 vehicles ranging from small vans to Refuse Collection Vehicles. A wide range of plant and equipment are used in support of service delivery.
The role will act as the CPC holder for the Councils Operating Licence and be responsible for ensuring Legal compliance across the fleet.
The role also manages the team delivering the Councils Stores function which supports the activities of the Council’s Environment and Housing Department.
The post is based at Kimberley Depot though there are opportunities for agile working.
The ideal candidate would have experience in:
- Working in the Transport Industry for at least 3 years
- Working as named CPC holder and understands the responsibility and requirements of the role
- Enthusiastic and passionate about looking at advances in the transport sector
- Working in a customer focused environment.
- Using a wider range ICT packages and possess good ICT skills.
- Workload planning with good organisational skills.
- Producing structured and detailed reports.
- Working with different stakeholders.
- Project delivery
