Salary: £25,927 - £27,343 per annum

Situated in the heart of the East Midlands to the west of the City of Nottingham, the Borough of Broxtowe offers a wide choice of employment, housing amenities and countryside. We are looking for a motivated and experienced person to join our vehicle and plant maintenance team and manage the staff and maintenance department for the council’s fleet of vehicles and equipment.

Based at the Council Depot in Kimberley, you will have had previous experience of managing vehicle workshops and maintaining all types of Vehicles and Equipment from small hand tools through to HGVs. You will be expected to manage and supervise staff working to MOT and VOSA test standards ensuring full compliance with Operator Licencing.

In addition, you will be responsible for all H&S issues within the workshop and be expected to manage day to day issues such as work planning, staff holidays absences, and maintain the fleet management data base system.

A full driving licence HGV Category 'C' will be a requirement for this post.

City and Guilds or equivalent in Motor Vehicle Technology is required together with supervisory management skills, good communication and interpersonal skills.
