Salary up to £19,457 per annum.

Broxtowe Borough Council has recently reviewed its older people’s services and will shortly be launching a new Independent Living Service. As part of the review, we have created a new role of Facilities Co-ordinator which will be managed within the Housing Repairs Compliance team.

The new Facilities Co-ordinator will be help to ensure that our 1400 Independent Living customers live in high quality and safe accommodation. You will be responsible for undertaking regular inspections and checks of the emergency lighting, fire extinguishers, emergency pull chords across 24 Independent Living Schemes.  You will record your findings and work with your manager to ensure any issues you have identified have been resolved

Whilst you will predominantly be working alone you will be in regular liaison with other colleagues including Independent Living Co-ordinators, Caretakers and Senior Maintenance Officers as you complete your checks.

This is an important role and the successful candidate must be able to organise their own time and be able to record information accurately.

It would be useful to have some health and safety knowledge and understand how buildings are constructed, although this is not essential.
