Salary: £20,979 - £22,214 pro rata per annum. Hours of work 18.5 Mon, Tues and Wed morning.

At Broxtowe Borough Council, we are looking for a Part Time Maintenance Inspector to take a lead role in the day to day and planned maintenance activities of the Housing Repairs Department specialising in footpaths, drainage and legionella issues.

You will be expected to carry out and maintain a survey of all housing land identifying the condition of footpaths, generating a planned maintenance inspection regime and organising any associated repairs.

You will also monitor the legionella contract ensuring targets and timescales are achieved, arranging and monitoring repairs when identified.

The successful candidate should have knowledge of risk assessments together with detailed understanding of highways and drainage related issues including work based experience of highway maintenance. They must also be able to: 

  • Generate and monitor a programme of works
  • Show good planning, organisational and communication skills
  • Have strong IT skills
  • Demonstrate good interpersonal and customer care skills

If you do not currently possess all of the skills expected, consideration will be given to candidates who can demonstrate they meet the core skills required.
