List of Parks, Recreation Grounds and Play Areas managed by Broxtowe Borough Council

The facilities are checked and inspected regularly and maintained to a high standard.  Should you however find any problems could you please report them to the Council to enable us to take corrective action and maintain the quality standards.

A popular site with a full range of outdoor sporting facilities. The popular children's play area provides a range of equipment for mixed ages.

This park has undergone a major facelift with the introduction of a new performance area and associated hard and soft landscaping. The bowling green is a popular venue in summer afternoons and evenings. The park has been designated as a Queen Elizabeth II playing field.

Dovecote Lane, Beeston, NG9 1HU

 

Play Area = 1

This site has an ornamental garden with seating together with the boroughs only bandstand. The area is used for community events throughout the year.

The newest park in Broxtowe with a good mix of sports and recreational facilities. It has a large wetland area and areas dedicated to wild flowers.

With its community centre and modern football pavilion this is a popular local facility serving the Beeston Rylands area.

Situated between the River Trent and the Nottingham Canal this is a popular venue for football. The pavilion is built on stilts given its location in the River Trent flood plain. The site provides good links to adjacent footpaths and is part of a series of Circular Walks.

Eastcote Avenue Open Space Bramcote

This park offers great views across Bramcote and Stapleford.  It is on a steep sloped site with a network of surfaced paths. It provides links to the adjacent countryside. The 2 tennis courts are free for public use. This park is a Local Nature Reserve.

A relatively small local area with a mix of tree planting and open grassland. A new circular path provides good access around the site.

A small local facility with a mixture of grassland areas, trees and shrubs. The surfaced footpaths are popular links to the adjacent housing areas and shops.

Part of a long network of Open Spaces running from Bramcote Lane to Field Lane. The Erewash Valley Trail runs through the park. This park has undergone major improvements as part of the NET project within a new play area, skate park, kickabout/basketball area, tennis courts and outdoor fitness equipment.

The largest park in the north of Broxtowe with major outdoor recreational facilities including an exciting adventure play area and a space dedicated for younger children. The sports pavilion has recently been refurbished and a new car park added. The latest addition is a large concrete skate bowl.  The park has been designated as a Queen Elizabeth II playing field. The car park is accessed from Plumptre Way.

The boroughs major venue for football in North Broxtowe with a total of 6 football pitches. It has recently been designated a Local Nature Reserve and has a stone surfaced circular footpath and extensive tree planting. It is the home of Broxtowe Model Car Club who have 2 large car racing tracks.

A site with a mix of open grassland and new tree planting.  It is the home of an annual funfair in September.

The park is close to the town centre and has a popular play area. The memorial garden was designated a Centenary Field in 2014.

Outdoor Fitness Equipment

The main recreation ground in the Stapleford area with a host of outdoor recreational facilities. In recent years a skate park and outdoor basketball/kickabout area have been added. These have proved extremely popular. A new circular footpath provides access to a series of items of outdoor fitness equipment.

The home of the annual Stapleford Carnival in September. The popular football pitches are well used. The play area has recently been extended and a new perimeter footpath installed.

This site enjoys a purpose built football pavilion that was funded by a successful bid to the Football Foundation. It has separate facilities for male and female football together with full access for people with disabilities. A new stone surfaced perimeter footpath to provide access to all park entrances was installed in 2015.

The sloping site has a split level pavilion that caters for tennis and bowls on the top level and football on the ground level. It is the only park in Broxtowe Borough that has grass Tennis courts making it extremely popular around 'Wimbledon' time. Three bowling clubs make use of the popular bowling green.  The park has been designated as a Queen Elizabeth II playing field.

Toton

An extensive site that links to the Banks Road Open Spaces Network. The park has a full range of sporting facilities with a high quality bowling green and cricket square The national cycle network route No. 6 from Derby to York crosses the corner of the site. It is the home of the Penny Farthing Seat Sculpture.
