Reporting a Concern

Reporting concerns about trees.

When reporting your concern it is advisable to bear the following points in mind:

  • Emergencies will be dealt with promptly and will take priority over any other tree concerns.Yew Tree

  • Any other non-emergency request for pruning will be assessed in line with the Council's Tree Policy and if works are required they will be added to the waiting list for tree works. Please be aware that due to the hazardous nature of tree works and the need to work safely you may experience a wait of approximately 6 months.

  • Please give the council as much notice as possible when reporting any non- emergency concerns for the reasons stated above.

  • Works will be done in priority order with issues concerning legal nuisances or severe inconvenience being undertaken before works requested for more aesthetic reasons.

  • Works to privately owned trees cannot be undertaken by this Council except in extraordinary circumstances. Usually a charge will be made to the landowner for this service.
