Prior Approval Householder Extensions
New legislation (statutory instrument 2013 No.1101) came into force on the 30th May 2013, and relates to single storey rear extensions between 3 metres and 6 metres for terraced/semi-detached houses, and between 4 metres and 8 metres for detached houses.
The new changes require that applicants, who want to take advantage of this simplified process, submit a basic level of information with their Prior Notification application for the application to be determined by the local planning authority.
