Annual Monitoring Report

Annual Monitoring Report

This report, produced once a year, measures progress with achieving planning objectives and actual development within the borough.

The Location Act (2011) changed the requirements of the 'Annual Monitoring Report' which is now officially termed an 'Authority Monitoring Report'.

The national requirements of its contents have been reduced however it must include:

  • information on progress in producing development plan document

  • progress in achieving planning policy objectives

  • the provision of new dwelling

  • details of co-operation will other organisations on strategic planning policy issue

It can demonstrate whether priorities need to be re-assessed and will be likely to prompt changes to the Local Development Scheme.
