Information about the Council's Local Plan for future development in the Borough.

Broxtowe Borough Council's Local Plan has been undertaken in two parts:

The Local Plan, part 1 and part 2, will replace the existing 2004 Local Plan (Opens in a New Window) when they are adopted as a whole.

Local Development Scheme

The timescale for the preparation of the Local Plan is set out in the Local Development Scheme (LDS) (Opens in a New Window)

Neighbourhood Plans

A number of local communities are preparing Neighbourhood Plans (Opens in a New Window) for specific areas within the borough which, once ‘made’, will sit alongside the Local Plan and will take precedence over non-strategic policies.

Measuring Progress

To measure progress towards achieving planning objectives set out in the Local Plan, completed development is monitored and reported in the Authority Monitoring Report (AMR). Involving the Community
