Family Fun Day at Lawrence Festival

11/08/2016 - A host of family fun will be on offer in Eastwood later this summer at a special Festival Fun Day as part of the D.H Lawrence Festival of Culture.

On Thursday 1st September from 12-4pm, visitors to Coronation Park can enjoy the free event which includes a host of activities including:

  • BMX demo riders

  • Games

  • Storytelling

  • Giant bubbles workshop

  • A Play bus

  • Arts and crafts

  • And much more

The event will take place on the lower field next to the new skate park off Plumtre Way and is outdoors so be prepared for all weather. Free parking is available on site (Access via Chewton Street).

This year marks the second year of the D.H. Lawrence Festival of Culture with a variety of arts and cultural events taking place in Eastwood, Nuthall, Stapleford, Beeston and beyond.  Running from 25th August until the end of September, the programme includes a beer festival, comedy, exhibitions, pedal powered cinema, family fun days, a traditional fair, music events and much more.

The Festival is coordinated by Broxtowe Events, The D.H. Lawrence Birthplace Museum team and a festival steering group.
