The event will take place on Saturday 19th November at 1.30pm in the shop at D.H Lawrence Birthplace Museum. As well as launching their new books, several members of the group will also be showcasing their work and giving readings.

The event is also a chance for budding Eastwood writers to meet members of the group if they are interested in joining.

Eastwood is still a fertile ground for writers today and Eastwood Writers' Group meet regularly. "Eastwood Writers' Group has been going for many years, it brings people together and we have a nice couple of hours on a Tuesday," said member, Evelyn Wharmby.

Visitors can also take a tour of the Birthplace Museum whilst they are there. The book launch event is free. Standard admission charges apply for tours of the Birthplace Museum.

The D.H. Lawrence Birthplace Museum is an award winning visitor attraction in Eastwood, Nottinghamshire (not far from junction 26 of the M1 and the IKEA retail park).  It combines D.H. Lawrence's authentically recreated childhood home, with an exhibition space celebrating the author's life, work and humble beginnings. From here you can also explore the surrounding countryside, which inspired his work.

The D.H. Lawrence Birthplace Museum is open Tuesday to Saturday, 10am to 4pm.
