Council Construction Partner Wins Award

26/04/2018 Broxtowe Borough Council’s Construction partner, United Living has been awarded a National Site Award by the Considerate Constructors Scheme

United Living received a Bronze award for the work they carry out on tenants’ homes on behalf of the Council. When selecting the winners, the judges look for the top performing sites which are inspected each year and they were particularly impressed by the high standards reached in the categories of:

  • Care about appearance
  • Respect the community
  • Protect the environment
  • Secure everyone’s safety
  • Value their workforce

"To achieve a Bronze CCS result is a fantastic result and gives recognition to the team for the high standards being maintained on site. Well done to the team!” said Richard Baker, Business Unit Director for United Living.

Construction Award Winners with their Award

Councillor Eric Kerry, Chairman of the Council’s Housing Committee added:

“We’re incredibly proud to be working with an award winning partner who provides a high level of service to our tenants, so may I congratulate Richard and his team for their great work. As a Council, we want to ensure that all residents can live in a good quality home and we’ll continue to work with our employees and partners to achieve this.”

The Considerate Constructors Scheme is a national initiative set up by the construction industry to improve its image. The awards are designed to recognise and reward those who have demonstrated exceptional levels of consideration against the scheme’s Code of Consideration Practice.
