Have Your Say on the Nuthall Neighbourhood Plan

Have Your Say on the Nuthall Neighbourhood Plan

07/03/2018 Nuthall Parish Council has submitted its Neighbourhood Plan to Broxtowe Borough Council, becoming the first community within Broxtowe Borough to reach this stage in the process.

Broxtowe Borough Council is now inviting local residents, businesses and other organisations, to comment on the Nuthall Neighbourhood Plan. The period for commenting on the Neighbourhood Plan runs from today until Friday 20th April 2018.

The Nuthall Neighbourhood Plan can be viewed on the Council's website. Comments can also be submitted online.

The Borough Council will then collate all the comments received and pass them on to an independent examiner. The examiner will look at these comments and the Neighbourhood Plan when assessing whether it meets national requirements and can proceed to the next stage of the process, which is a referendum within the Parish.

The Nuthall Neighbourhood Plan sets out local policies in relation to new housing, the village centre, employment, open space and design. It also sets out aspirations for the local area.

Neighbourhood Plans can give communities a strong voice in the planning system as if successful they will complement the Borough’s Local Plan, and must be taken into consideration by Broxtowe Borough Council when determining planning applications.
