Organisations Invited To Express Interest In Beeston Town Hall

07/03/2018 ORGANISATIONS AND GROUPS interested in making an alternative use of Beeston Town Hall are being invited to submit detailed proposals to Broxtowe Borough Council.

“Following the large response to a recent consultation on the future use of the building, it was very clear that many of our local residents think of the Town Hall with great affection. In the consultation, there were a number of very imaginative proposals to keep the building and so we are now asking for formal expressions of interest,” said Council Leader, Councillor Richard Jackson.

“We’ll then assess the proposals to ensure they are financially sustainable and compile a shortlist of the most attractive by the end of April. Those shortlisted will then be asked to provide additional evidence and a full business case, with a view to a decision being taken at Full Council in the autumn.”

A brief can be found at on the Beeston Town Hall webpage (Opens in a New Window), along with plans of the building.

Proposals should be submitted by 12.00 noon on Tuesday 3rd April 2018 either by email to john.delaney@broxtowe.gov.uk or delivered to John Delaney, Head of Property Services, Broxtowe Borough Council, Foster Avenue, Beeston, NG9 1AB.

Anyone who would like to view the building is advised to make an appointment as part of an Open Day on Friday 16th March between 09.00am and 11.00am or 3.00pm and 4.30pm. Please email John Delaney with your preferred time and number of visitors.

The Council’s policy on the Disposal of Land & Property will apply to any use, letting or disposal of the Town Hall. It can viewed on the Beeston Town Hall webpage (Opens in a New Window)
