Christmas Arrives In Beeston At Christmas Lights Switch On

The festivities will last all afternoon with a jam-packed line up across the town, including:
- Arts and crafts fair on Chilwell Road from 12pm
- Festive crafts, food and drink, charity stalls
- Street entertainment
- Santa’s Grotto at Broadgate Park between 2.30pm and 5.45pm
- Children’s rides on the High Road from 10.30am
- Traditional fun fair from 12.00pm at the Old Bus Station
- Season of Light’s event at Beeston Methodist Church between 2.00pm and 4.00pm
- High Road Hustle – 3pm till late
- Festival School Lantern Procession into the Square from the Lane at 5.15pm
Mayor of the Borough of Broxtowe, Councillor Derek Burnett BEM and Youth Mayor William Mee will officially turn on the lights at 5.30pm in The Square, followed by Fireworks at 6.30pm.
The event has been organised by LLeisure in conjunction with Broxtowe Borough Council, with special thanks to NET (Nottingham Express Transit) for their support in this years Christmas lights Switch On Event.
The event also falls on Small Business Saturday UK, so why not gets a head start on your Christmas shopping by browsing the fantastic independent shops that Beeston has to offer? There will be special offers and promotions available on the day.
Parking in the Town Centre is limited so please use public transport where possible. The Beeston Tram and Bus Interchange will bring you right into the heart of Beeston and is just a short walk from Beeston Square.
Please note, Foster Avenue will be closed from the junction of Steering Street to Commercial Avenue from 8.00am- 8.00pm.
