Line Up For Stapleford Christmas Lights Switch On Announced
The event will take place Saturday the 24th November from 4.30pm-6.30pm at Walter Parker VC Memorial Square and Victoria Street Car Park.
At 5.30pm, Mayor of the Borough of Broxtowe, Councillor Derek Burnett BEM will join Mayor of Stapleford, Robert Browne to officially switch on the lights at the Christmas tree on Walter Parker V.C. Memorial Square, followed by a firework finale at 6.30pm.
Other activities taking place during the event include:
- Christmas stalls, food and drink, children’s fairground rides.
- Live entertainment from the stage in Victoria street car park.
- Arts & Crafts Stalls
- Santa Grotto from 2.30pm – 5.45pm.
- Every child who visits Father Christmas will receive a ticket and one lucky child will receive the GOLDEN TICKET. The lucky winner will lead the countdown to the fireworks at 6:30pm.
- Salvation Army Band will play Christmas carols in Walter Parker V.C. Memorial Square.
The event has been organised by LLeisure in conjunction with Broxtowe Borough Council and with thanks to sponsors Westerman Homes and Stapleford Town Council.
Please note there will be a road closure in place on the lower part of Victoria Street from 7am until 9.00pm and the lower part of the Victoria Street car park will be closed all day for the event.
