Bring your kids to the D.H. Lawrence museum on Saturdays this August and immerse them in tales of swashbuckling adventures!
Professional storyteller Nicky Rafferty will be telling tales of pirate adventures and chests full of gold. There will also be hat making and map making so that your little pirates can continue their fun at home.
‘Our storytelling event will be a chance for local children to have fun, and for them to be artistic and imaginative. By offering affordable workshops which include a visit inside the Museum, we are hoping to better engage with the local community and promote creativity.’ Christina Webb - Duty Officer, D.H. Lawrence Birthplace Museum.
Sessions are at 10:30 on Saturdays 10th, 17th, 24th and 31st August.
Tickets cost £4 for one child and one accompanying adult and include a drink and a snack for each child as well as activities and entry into the museum.
Bring a picnic lunch and after the storytelling session take advantage of our lovely walled garden for your lunch.
Spaces are limited so book your tickets online now (Opens in a New Window) or call the museum on 0115 917 3824, or email firstname.lastname@example.org
