The Great British Spring Clean Comes To Broxtowe

The Great British Spring Clean Comes To Broxtowe

14/03/19 - THREE Spring Clean events will take place in Broxtowe over the coming weeks, as part of Keep Britain Tidy’s Great British Spring Clean.

The Great British Spring Clean runs from 22nd March until 23rd April and will call on #LitterHeroes across the country to help improve the environment on their doorstep.

In Broxtowe, the spring clean events will complement the Council’s existing Clean and Green Campaign to make Broxtowe a cleaner place and get the local community involved in taking pride in the local area.

Litter picks will take place at:

  • Albany Infant School, Stapleford on Friday 22nd March
  • Sunnyside Spencer Academy, Chilwell on Wednesday 27th March
  • AECOM at Chilwell Business Park on Thursday 28th March

Local people will also be able to join in at other litter picks being organised over the coming months or organise their own using the Council’s helpful guidance pack. Download a Clean and Green Resource Pack

The Great British Spring Clean aims to inspire 500,000 people to join forces - in partnership with community organisations, businesses and the government - to collect and safely dispose of single-use plastic from our streets, parks and beaches, recycling as much as possible. Since it launched in October, over 170 people have taken part in Community Clean Up events in Broxtowe as part of the Clean and Green Campaign.
