deliveries, someone to talk to and much more. They want to hear from you about your stories of neighbours, friends, family or others that have supported you over the last few months.

The week will be a celebration of the best of Broxtowe during these difficult times and the true community spirit that has resulted from this.

To make sure that you get involved in the week here’s five ways you can do so.

  5. Nominate a local resident, group or business for an outstanding contribution to the community for a special personal thank you call with the Mayor of Broxtowe or to receive a Mayor's Certificate of Appreciation.

Leader of the Council, Councillor Milan Radulovic MBE said: “We have always believed that Broxtowe is a great place to live and the pandemic has truly proved it. We have seen first-hand communities pulling together to make sure residents are cared for and not forgotten about, even our younger residents worked hard to keep people’s spirits up as they saw the creative creations of Rainbows of Hope in windows. This week will allow us to say thank you as we know that everyone has played a part in this.”

Deputy Leader of the Council, Councillor Steve Carr said: “We know that the pandemic has brought some very difficult challenges, but the residents and businesses of Broxtowe, as well as our own Council  employees have really risen to the challenge and I am very proud of everyone. Thank You Week is the perfect time to highlight the many people across our communities that have gone above and beyond and I can’t wait to hear more stories.’
