Awsworth Neighbourhood Plan
Neighbourhood Plans can give communities a strong voice in the planning system as if successful they will complement the Borough’s Local Plan, and must be taken into consideration by Broxtowe Borough Council when determining planning applications.
The Awsworth Neighbourhood Plan sets out local policies in relation to housing, design, green and blue infrastructure, community facilities including recreational facilities, shops, employment, and traffic and transport. It also sets out aspirations for the local area.
Broxtowe Borough Council is now inviting local residents, businesses and other organisations, to comment on the Awsworth Neighbourhood Plan. The period for commenting on the Neighbourhood Plan runs from today until Friday 27th March 2020.
The Awsworth Neighbourhood Plan can be viewed on the Council's website at www.broxtowe.gov.uk/awsworthneighbourhoodplan. Comments can be submitted by email or post.
The Borough Council will then collate all the comments received and pass them on to an independent examiner. The examiner will look at these comments and the Neighbourhood Plan when assessing whether it meets national requirements and can proceed to the next stage of the process, which is a referendum within the Parish.
