    31/01/20 - Beeston and Eastwood are the latest towns to join an international movement to install ‘happy to talk’ benches to encourage local people to talk to each other and help tackle loneliness and other mental health conditions.

    31/01/20 - Over 100 community events will take place in Broxtowe this year to help bring the local community together. Residents will be able to find out more about the events in a special leaflet being delivered to homes and businesses over the next few weeks.

    29/01/20 - Children in Bramcote were the first to try out a new play area at King George V Park in Bramcote, Thanks to £120,000 of funding from Broxtowe Borough Council and FCC Communities Foundation.

  • Community Stands Together For Holocaust Memorial Event

    09/01/2020 - The Broxtowe Community 'stood together’ at a short ceremony to mark the Holocaust Memorial annual event on Monday 27th January which took place in the Walled Garden at Bramcote Hills Park at 11.00am.

  • Beeston Children Plant 700 Trees

    23/01/20 - 700 trees were planted at Hetley Pearson Recreation Ground. Mayor of the Borough of Broxtowe, Councillor Michael Brown joined children from Trent Vale Infants School to plant a mixture of native trees, including cherry, hazel holly and hawthorn, with another group of children from Beeston Rylands School attending in the afternoon to help complete the task.

  • Chilwell Woman Fined For Anti-Social Behaviour Offences

    23/01/20 - A woman from Chilwell was fined £500 after being found guilty of failing to comply with a Community Protection Notice. At Nottingham Magistrates Court earlier this week. She was also ordered to pay £780 prosecution costs and a victim surcharge of £50.

    22/01/20 - Residents and businesses in Stapleford are being urged to have their say on what improvements they would like to see as part of the Government’s Towns Fund which will see up to £25m invested in the town

  • Work Starts On New Business Hub In Stapleford

    22/01/20 - Nine businesses will soon be able to benefit from office space in Stapleford’s new business hub, as Broxtowe Borough Council begins work to transform the old Police Station site. Cllr Milan Radulovic visited the site on 21st January to see progress.

  • Bramcote Volunteers Mark 20 Years with Tree Planting

    10/01/2020 - Volunteers from the Friends of Bramcote Ridge celebrated their 20th anniversary last week, doing what they do best by planting hazel trees and wildflower bulbs at the Green Flag award winning Bramcote Ridge Local Nature Reserve.
