Business Is Booming Thanks To Beeston Business Hub

3/03/20 - Eight Broxtowe Businesses are now benefitting from a unique Council initiative to transform flats above retail space in the Beeston Town Centre.

The Hub is now fully let after marketing consultancy A&G Consulting joined Sisu Emotional Health and Coaching, Precise HR, Create Animate and K Creations in the hub, on the corner of Station Road.Incubator Hubs

Chair of the Jobs and Economy Committee, Councillor Tim Hallam said: “The hub provides the first step for entrepreneurs to take on their first commercial premises. With dedicated business support, it’s great to see new local companies taking full advantage of this service.”

The Council is currently working on the next step in office space provision, located in Stapleford. This will see nine new offices in the former Police Station building thanks to £92,135 of funding from the Local Growth Fund, administered by D2N2.

Tom Goshawk, D2N2 Head of Capital Programmes said: “D2N2 has chosen to invest in the Stapleford Business Hub to create new jobs in the town centre and develop new high-quality office space in the town.”

“The works align well with our strategic aim of helping facilitate high-quality places and provide new uses for the changing town centre landscape.”

The D2N2 Local Enterprise Partnership (LEP) is one of 38 LEPs across England tasked with helping economic growth thrive across Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire. Using a mix of Government and European funding, D2N2 funds projects across the region to add jobs to the economy, improve housing stock, and increase the number of learners region wide.
