Calling all would-be film-makers…

30/03/21 - How would you like to see your school’s work showcased on the big screen at the new Arc Cinema in Beeston? Broxtowe Borough Council is inviting all schools in Beeston and Chilwell to submit their own short film, which will be shown on the cinema’s opening weekend.

All you need to do is compile a short film (of no more than 90 seconds) on the theme of ‘We love Beeston because..’ and send it to us by the closing date of Wednesday May 19th.

We’re looking for one film per school that explains why you love living in Beeston and tells us all about its fabulous community spirit.

All schools that take part will receive free tickets to see their films on the big screen at the end of May (Covid permitting), giving you a chance to be among the first to experience the new multi-screen venue.

Entries should be sent via we transfer to sarah@bakerbaird.com

The finer details:

  • We are looking for one film only per school. Multiple entries will not be accepted.
  • Films must be no longer than 90 seconds.
  • All children featured in the films must have the relevant consent forms for the films to be used at the cinema and on social media.
  • Please avoid using any copyrighted music.
  • Films should be submitted in any common video file.
  • There will be a limited number of tickets available for each school - exact numbers will be dependent on the number of entries we receive and will be confirmed nearer the time.
