New Italian restaurant to open in Beeston Square this week
Italian restaurant Ottimo is the latest offering from the company behind popular Nottingham restaurant Sans Patrie and promises to offer “an authentic array of the finest Italian flavours”.
With a menu devised by former Masterchef: The Professionals contestant Keelan Burton, the venue will offer daytime and evening dining. Dishes on offer will include pulled beef cheek croquette, mussels marinara and aubergine caviar bruschetta, and will be changed regularly to reflect what’s in season.
Co-founder Ross Considine said: “We want to combine traditional preparations - such as our stunning stone pizza oven - with local ingredients to create an honest and wholesome Italian experience that takes you on a culinary journey.
“Keelan’s innovative twists and turns create an element of surprise for diners and paired with an array of delicious cocktails and craft beers, Ottimo offers an exciting, contemporary feel to an otherwise traditional menu.”
Located within the multi-million-pound Beeston Square redevelopment, masterminded by Broxtowe Borough Council, the 3,000 sq ft, 150-seater venue has created 45 jobs.
It will join a new, vibrant bar and restaurant scene, with neighbouring venue The Beeston Social – from the team behind city favourites like The Hockley Arts Club and Penny Lane – due to open next month. The Arc Cinema opened in the Square last June.
Ottimo will open its doors to the public on Friday 29 April, with daytime and evening dining from 10am-10pm, Monday to Thursday and 10am-11pm, Friday to Sunday.
