Omicron Hospitality and Leisure Grant (OHLG) Launched
The first of these schemes is the Omicron Hospitality and Leisure Grant and will be live for businesses, meeting the qualifying criteria, to apply for from 11 January 2022.
The scheme will close for applications on 20 February 2022 and all final payments must be made by 31 March 2022.
- Businesses occupying hereditaments appearing on the local rating list with a rateable value of exactly £15,000 or under on 30 December 2021 will receive a payment of £2,667.
- Businesses occupying hereditaments appearing on the local rating list with a rateable value over £15,000 and less than £51,000 on 30 December 2021 will receive a payment of £4,000.
- Businesses occupying hereditaments appearing on the local rating list with a rateable value of exactly £51,000 or over on 30 December 2021 will receive a payment of £6,000.

The second grant scheme will be to assist those businesses that support the Hospitality, Leisure and Accommodation sectors. The Council is still awaiting details of the allocation of this grant and will be developing the policy to support businesses as soon as this information is received.
In addition, the Council will also develop a Business Rates Discretionary Rate Relief called the Covid Additional Relief Fund (CARF), to support businesses that have not received any previous support but have been negatively affected by Covid-19.
